Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Alex abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: He got into the Crown-heir business at a young age. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Being a Crown-heir kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
