Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Bernard was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Kyle enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. A freak accident while working with his Body Guard father left him crippled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he seems to be bored by most things

Description: A pudgy man standing about 6'2" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He wears dull red sweaters, loose violet pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed sai, just in case. He has moderate length brown hair. His eyes are a pleasant green.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and to clean up the streets

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears many layers of old clothing at all times, and is pretty ugly. His auburn hair is long and unkept. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Architect hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to share knowledge with the world
