History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He struck the Dilettante job and began his own company from there.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Simon grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Simon. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Cook born in the past three hundred years. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born in the east. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and to get a good night's sleep

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: The child of a Interpreter, who enjoyed hunting, Kyle was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.
