Description: He wears dull brown sweaters, loose black pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath his sweater he keeps a concealed trident, just in case, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'3" when asserting himself. His hair is always cut to a buzz. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Carpenter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Description: He wears a white tunic with grey highlights, and long red pants that bunch up around his shoes. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his greataxe, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a cross on it. He has done his best to style his auburn hair to look like a famous performer. His face is scarred and worn.
Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.
History: Patrick was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Description: He is a pot bellied western man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He likes to wear ponchos typically of a light blue in addition to tight pants. He keeps his white hair in a flapper bob. This green eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.
History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He wears a blue costume with the symbols of the four houses of cards on his torso. His red hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. He is baby faced.
Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Priest who has hired him part-time. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.
History: Henry lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and he wants to get laid

Description: He wears a brown shirt, with a black mid length shorts with black tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them. He carries with him a set of greataxes, each one with a emerald on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. He sports a flattop hair cut. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.
History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Geoffrey grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Geoffrey. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.
