After coming to the age of reason, Adelard took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Miner they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Baker, and he later adopted a second daughter.
