Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Solomon never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
