Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Gilbert and his spouse have recently divorced.
