Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he dresses like a well dressed Mortician does. His hair, while still mostly auburn, has prominent grey streaks. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mortician born in the past three hundred years. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gifted student he started as a Bookbinder, but he got bored and became a Mortician. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Norman fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Lance was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Performer. He has achieved small success as a Performer.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has worked as a Bookbinder like his father before him.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Lance lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He became a Ruler soon after.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aldous grew up listening to his father's many stories. Through the years after Aldous was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Aldous's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Aldous and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion
