Chad Kimberly, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: The light-skinned man stands 6'1" and is wearing colorful clothing, dressed as a Spice Merchant. His black hair is thinning but still full. This gray eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.
Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Chad is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and to reunite with his absent father
Ideals: Justice, Impeccable. Flaws: Shy. Bonds: Poor, Family. Occupation: Spice Merchant
Voice: Switch between two voices

Theobald Ryland, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He wears a yellow cloak and cross-gartered violet stockings, marred by sweets. His hair is long and blonde with streaks of red, and is pulled back with small yellow clips. His beard is red, braided, and well cared for. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.
History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Cartwright kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
Flaws: Ugly, Impulsive. Bonds: Criminal record, Military, Mentor. Occupation: Cartwright
Voice: Laughs frequently while speaking

Bertram Ryland, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'8" when asserting himself. His auburn hair is still thick. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When Bertram reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
