Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes orcs are coming to abduct people. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against orcs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up work as a Guard and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and he feels kind of lost in life
