Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. He worked as a nervous Painter and found it very stressful. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Painter for hire.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and wants to work out more often

Description: He likes to wear ponchos typically of a light white in addition to tight pants. His auburn hair is heavily combed to the left. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Tim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and he wants to get laid

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Lance is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born in the west to a Map Maker, Lance learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Dyer, but he got bored and became a Map Maker. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Map Maker.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.
