History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Gerard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls.

History: Theobald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Carter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Carter work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a Carter soon after.
