Description: With tan face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears baggy black pantaloons and a blue scarf. With bright chestnut hair and a scraggly beard. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bernard embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born to a Farmer, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Bernard took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up shortbow and armor he uses now. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears a black shirt with thin white vertical stripes and brown pants. He has no hair. He is baby faced.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 37. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When John reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: This northern man is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. His clothes are grease stained in places. His hair, while still mostly brown, has prominent grey streaks. His blue eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Description: This slender man stands about 5'9". He wears green painted combat armor at almost all times. His hair is cut close to his head. His blue eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bellfounder arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Chad lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Shoemaker. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
