History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Adelard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
