He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Dean hails from a village terrorized by drow. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Dean alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Dean fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Aldous was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
