He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Layabout who has hired him part-time. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gifted student he started as a Navigator, but he got bored and became a Layabout. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 7 years.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Layabout and was forced into it by his family; and further expansion of business

Personality: Aldous is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. A true patriot, Aldous would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born in the south to a Bather, Aldous learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bather. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Description: This fat western man has a bulbous nose and wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His skin is also unnaturally pale. He has shaved his head bald. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: Frederick was born with his mother's beautiful face. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
