History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born into a rich family. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature greatsword.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
