Through the years after Dean was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Dean's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He married young, but lost his spouse to orcs. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
