History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

He wears a brown vest and prefers black and tan shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. His long white hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Theobald was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Body Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance.
