His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Brewer for hire.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Dean took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up dagger and armor he uses now. He became a Healer soon after.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Alexandre's homeland. Alexandre decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
