Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Roland was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Carter.
