History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of orcs may trigger it at times.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Shane was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.
