History: Thomas hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rolf was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
