Personality: Bernard is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Seamstress kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Roofer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His childhood dream was to be a Locksmith, but he was a colossal failure. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
