History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Chad was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Chad's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Beggar and was forced into it by his family; and to reunite with his absent mother
