Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes orcs are coming to abduct people. Thomas enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He has all his life been fascinated with dancing.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
