History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gifted student he started as a Banker, but he got bored and became a Cartwright. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Through the years after Miles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Miles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
