Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Jocelyn is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Jocelyn hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bellfounder. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bellfounder.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Cook arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and he has money and likes to spend it
