Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Tanner arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest, marred by beers. He wears a top hat to cover his moderate length black hair. He is baby faced.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. A gifted student he started as a Merchant, but he got bored and became a Barber. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Barber.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend.

Description: He sports black clothing, slightly heavier than average wear, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'6" when asserting himself. His hair is white and curly. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His golden hair is unkempt and raggedy. His amber eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Born to a Shoemaker, his father struggled to pay the bills. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with green lining and desert motifs. His white hair is knotted and matted. His hazel unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and retire the richest man in the south
