History: Anselm was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Description: This western man dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. His clothes are grease stained in places. His hair is cut close to his head. He has a dull look in his hazel eyes.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Layabout who has hired him part-time. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Layabout hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fortune-teller. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Wants a kiss; and wants his loneliness to end

Description: This man is very fat, and wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty black coat over it. He is bald on top and has large golden tufts of hair around his ears. He has several tiny sapphire earrings on each ear.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He tends to his Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and wants to open a new tavern
