History: Born in the east to a Map Maker, Rolf learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rolf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and balancing his hectic life and new map maker responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Bertram was born the youngest of three triplets. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Lewis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
