History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hugh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was born in the north. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He is greedy; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: The child of a Seamstress, who enjoyed hunting, Hubert was taken on many hunting expeditions. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Gerald lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
