History: Lance was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he's looking for his big break

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving William alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His childhood dream was to be a Barrister, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Barrister, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
