History: Roland lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and he is content

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. At a young age his mother died while driving off some giants. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
