Personality: He is fixated on the number 26. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He has all his life been fascinated with painting.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to brigands.

History: Everard hails from a village terrorized by giants. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. He has never given up on his music dream.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. Personality: Ernest is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
