History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Thomas will drive conversation. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Thomas lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: Adam is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Adam grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Adam. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has decided he is irredeemable

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gifted student he started as a Server, but he got bored and became a Courier. He has worked as a Courier like his father before him.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and balancing his hectic life and new carter responsibilities is difficult
