History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after John was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. John's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He tends to his Apothecary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Born in the west to a Courier, Roland learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Courier work with an outfit from a few towns over. Courier work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the drow.

History: Born to a Performer, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Slave Trader hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
