Charles Cumberbatch, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He wears dark leathers with embroidery. He carries with him a set of crossbows, each one with a sapphire on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His eyes are likewise amber.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Charles embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. The war was a terrible time for him, and Charles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Charles was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Charles decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Roger Stafford, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He wears a red vest and prefers brown and violet shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. He has a long brown beard with little hanging trinkets. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.
Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.
History: Roger was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Fighter who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero.
