He then took over the family business and is one of the better Ruler for hire.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He was born in a small desert village. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Being a Bounty Hunter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
