History: Born in the east to a Junk Dealer, Ralf learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: The child of a Cook, who enjoyed hunting, Hubert was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Hunter. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
