Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
History: He was raised by priests from a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. He became a Courier soon after.
Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Human, and stands approximately 5'5". He is wearing a perfectly clean shirt and pair of pants, and his gloved hand is found clutching a rapier. His red hair is braided into rings. He has a dull look in his gray eyes.
Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gerald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gerald. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: He wants to get laid; and he has decided he is irredeemable

A flowing brown cape and mantle trimmed with soft red waves gently in the breeze. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His auburn hair is thinning but still full. His eyes are gray and beady.
Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.
History: He comes from a rich western family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Butcher. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and wants a kiss

Description: He appears as an extremely gaunt Human, and stands approximately 6'1". He wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress), and his gloved hand is found clutching a quarterstaff. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Mortician. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: He was born in a small forest village. Randal liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
Motivation: Revenge; and he wants revenge against giants

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. He prefers to wear flannel, marred by beers. His moppish black hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His brown eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.
History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
