Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his greataxe with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. With bright golden hair and a scraggly beard. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are hazel.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He is wearing a long, black, dusty cloak. His hair is long and brown with streaks of red, and is pulled back with small black clips. His beard is red, braided, and well cared for. His brown eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Gerald hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his singing career. Gerald is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Thomas hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Thomas was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
