Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. Bertram is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. A gifted student he started as a Navigator, but he got bored and became a Detective. He's also a talented Navigator, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and an old rival family wants him found

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Simon grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Description: He is in excellent shape and is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright grey and red, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. Personality: Frederick hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
