Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Bernard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants a kiss
