Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Jocelyn never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
