The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Conrad took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up spear and armor he uses now. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has achieved small success as a Gardener.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.
