Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Balimaar was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Kyle grew up listening to his father's many stories. He found a children's book about a Human Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to settle down with his crush
