Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of drow may trigger it at times.

History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by drow. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he desires power and/or immortality
