His mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Conrad was heart-stricken from the event, and his father started working long hours to provde for them. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cook for hire.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. Justin is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Guy fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
