Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Born in the west to a Ruler, Shane learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He struck the Ruler job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To be a Scribe again; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Description: With pastel face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is typically in his Cartwright uniform. He wears a colorful flower in his chestnut hair. His green eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has achieved small success as a Cartwright.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.

Description: This slender man stands about 5'10". He wears a blue cloak and cross-gartered grey stockings. His brown hair is cut short. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Description: This man stands a little under 5'3" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. He has no hair. He is baby faced.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Gerard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barrister hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Gerard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes.
